High-Speed WiFi for Campgrounds

Hi, I’m Donna Bordeaux with CampgroundAccounting.com. I want to remind you of a very important utility that you need to check in on. And I know you’re not going to be surprised by this one, but it’s your WiFi.

Check it out and see how the speeds are going and not just how they’re going when there’s nobody in your park. And when it’s slow, I want you to check it out on busy weekends. As you have some upcoming holiday weekends, I want you to go out there and test out that wifi.

Here’s the reason more and more people are traveling and doing their work from the road. And you’ve got to be able to satisfy those people, make sure that this is not the thing that you get dinged on. You could offer a wonderful experience, but if your WiFi stinks and they can’t do their work and they’re stressed out about it, guess what that reflects poorly on you.

There are also a ton of people on the road now with their kids doing virtual schooling, you need to have the wifi to be able to let them do that. I have been privileged to go to a few campgrounds, just weeks recently who have a stellar WiFi performance. And I’ll tell you what it’s top on my list. I was at a campground recently that allowed me to bring my own wifi router and plug and play with that. And that was a wonderful experience that really helped me have a lot of great security for my work as well.

And also I was at another, a new park that had some great WiFi in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I’m gonna post some pictures here of their beautiful hubs for the wifi right there in with my pedestal, for my electric and water was the WiFi. And I know that’s not uncommon, but the speeds were incredible. And that was with a packed weekend in September.

So make sure that you are looking at your improvements to your park and make sure that if your WiFi is not running high up there on the speeds that you’ve got plans to get it that way, that will take you a long way into the future. And I think you’re going to see more and more reviewers who are going to be reviewing you on your WiFi speed, not just how great your bathrooms are.

And I’m always baffled by from an RV’er standpoint, most of the parks I go to, I don’t ever visit the bathroom, but I use that WiFi like nobody’s business. So make sure you get your money where your mouth is when it comes to the WiFi. It’s not that it’s unimportant to anymore. You have to be able to compete and have great WiFi.

So let me know how things are going in your park and what solutions you found that have helped you really grow your part with the good WiFi word. I’m Donna Bordeaux with CampgroundAccounting.com.
